Dr. Nash is Board Certified in Family Practice and has attained the degree of Fellow from the American Academy of Family Medicine. She did her undergraduate training at the University of Colorado in Boulder in molecular, cellular and developmental biology. She was a Dean’s Scholar Award recipient. She attended the University of Colorado School of Medicine and she received the 1991 Pisacano Scholarship and Service Award for Family Medicine. She completed her Family Practice residency training at Northeast Iowa Medical Foundation. She is a member of the AMA and the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Dr. Nash is a Senior Clinical Instructor for the CU School of Medicine. She has an active interest in women’s health care issues. Dr. Nash is NCQA certified in Diabetes Care, and Management of Heart and Stroke. Although she is no longer delivering babies, Dr. Nash spent over 20 years bringing babies into the world and now has the joy of helping her kids grow up. She received the Golden Stethoscope Award for Best Family Medicine Preceptor in 2015.

Dr. Nash treats patients through all aspects of life. Working with families and individuals as a whole is a large part of caring for people. Dr. Nash believes in caring for the whole person in order to maintain balance and wellness for the individual. She works to bring people to health using her medical knowledge to meet the individual needs of the patient. She is loyal, calm, and patient.

As a hospitalist and an active participant in the hospital community, she brings a unified viewpoint to her patients. She remains in touch with her colleagues in the community through her hospital activity. In addition she is part of the Community Advisory Board at North Suburban Medical Center which brings together many of the leading medical community members to discuss how our community can be better served as a team. She has participated in the 9 News Health Fair for about 20 years at the site our office sponsors.

Dr. Nash is married (to a fabulous man who likes to spend time in the mountains) and has 5 kids she considers her own. She enjoys spending quality time with her cats and quilting. She has served a board member of Angels with Paws cat shelter. She has been a world traveler and maintains a relationship with a family in Belize.

Little known facts – Dr. Nash was a commodities broker for a short time in her 20s. She has been a summer missionary to Uganda. She used to be a Judo instructor. She used to Candy Stripe at SAN Hospital in the 1970s. She has been sorted into the Ravenclaw house (Harry Potter reference for those who are not familiar).
